Swimming pools provide family fun and entertainment. But, a pool owner knows that pools also require a lot of attention in order to maintain their cleanliness and functionality. And there comes the point in most pools’ lifetimes when they could do with a little remodeling.
The average pool owner can expect to spend between $8,000 and $25,000 to remodel their swimming pool. The number depends on a number of factors:
- Plaster Selection: Today, there is a wide variety of colors and types of plaster to choose from.
- Repairs: A remodel with repairs for leaks, cracks, and tile replacement might be on the lower end. It may not be a total remodel. But, a pool in need of repairs will look fantastic after being remodeled.
- Features: This could mean updating tile and coping of adding a waterfall, slide, tanning ledge or cover. The cost of an addition varies widely.
- Deck Updates/Changes: If you’re looking to make a change to your deck at the same time as the pool remodel that will increase the price.
