Bram Schad is a lifetime resident of Ocala, Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida with a BS in construction management. For over 20 years he worked with his father in a commercial roofing business called RaeCo of Ocala Inc. Bram worked throughout the Southeastern U.S., with clients ranging from Disney World and Sea World to NASA and the National Guard. Recently, Bram purchased an existing pool company and converted it to ASP – ASP - America's Swimming Pool Company of North Central Florida.
How did you learn about the brand?
I had been researching the pool business and attempted to purchase a couple Pinch-a-Penny stores. During my due diligence process, I found a number of swimming pool service concepts, ASP being among those. As I did further research, I felt that ASP was a good fit for me – the culture of the company was something I really liked and the proximity of my territory to the corporate office in Georgia were key factors in my decision.
What was appealing to you about joining a franchise system?
The systems that a franchise has in place and how they prepare you for success are really appealing business aspects to me. The group buying power and the support with being part of a franchise is fantastic.
What makes your business different?
We are bringing an exceptional business to an industry that is fragmented in this community.
What are your expansion or development plans?
We are already in a position to hire additional field staff, and are looking to double the current amount of contracts within a year. We would like to service in excess of 300 accounts by the end of 2014, as we have one of the largest territories currently in the system.
Do you have any other interesting hobbies or passions?
My primary passion is my family. I love spending time with my wife and three daughters. I also love to fish and cook; I actually own four different types of grills!
